When my family emigrated to New Zealand six years ago, we wanted some clear practical advice which covered both the UK and NZ tax implications involved in moving. We wanted to avoid any basic traps before and after we arrived. However, unless we paid upwards of £5,000 to a UK and NZ adviser there wasn’t much information available and there still isn’t. Even so, few people have knowledge of both systems and finding the right adviser is difficult. So I decided to make use of over 30 years of UK tax experience and compile some guides which covered all the main areas in detail in an informative and easy to understand way. All the guides cover both the UK and NZ system and interact with each other.
